Description
The British Hawker MK 1B Typhoon become one of the most formidable weapons during the Second World War, both as a bomber interceptor and ground support fighter. The largest and the most powerful of its time, it was powered by a 2,260 hp Napier Sabre engine and had a top speed of 417 mph. It could climb to 20,000 feet in only 7.6 minutes. Typhoon armament, four 20mm cannons and eight 3-inch rockets. Optional landing gear down or retracted, open or closed canopy with detailed interior and pilot figure. Authentic markings included for Typhoon 1Bs, MN819 MR-?, No.245 Squadron, June 1944 or MN882 TP-Q, No.198 Squadron, July 1944. Molded in light gray and clear.
