The Ford 427 SOHC engine was developed in 1964 and originally intended for use in stock car racing. After being eliminated from use in the stock cars due to regulation changes, the engine found new life in drag racing circles. Featuring hemispherical combustion chambers and a single overhead camshaft on each head, the engine produced over 600 horsepower in street trim and roughly 8,000 horsepower fully supercharged. Features: Chrome plated supercharger housing with plated metal blower scoop, throttle linkage and return spring, movable pulleys with cogged rubber belt, flexible fuel and nitrous lines, braided lines with A/N fittings, display stand. Scheduled release date is May 3.
