I'm building the 37 Ford sedan (08090) model and there is a straight axle in the kit, but not on the instructions.

The tooling for this model is used in more than one kit. Therefore on occasion, certain parts may be left on the tree for convenience in the production process. Consider the extra parts a bonus and throw them in your spare parts box for future projects!
