I am almost finished assembling the Ford-Trimotor model and have a question about the decals. The wings and other surfaces on this aircraft are grooved, not flat. How do I install the decals on an uneven surfaces so they do not look amateurish?

There are products on the market called " decal setting solution " designed to accomplish what you're trying to do. Badger's Model Flex line and also a company by the name of Micro Scale offer these items. The solution is applied before the decal is put on and it softens the pigment and sucks it down as it dries, leaving the decal looking as though it was painted on.
