I just bought the 1/48 F-15E Strike Eagle. I was wondering exactly what the best order was to do things. Should I paint before or after I assemble the model?

This depends on what parts you're working on. In some cases like the fuselage you'd probably want to paint the parts before assembly. Other things like the cockpit you may want to paint as a sub-assembly and install them as a unit.
