We have noticed that a small percentage of the switchback racers have had the leads for the transformer reversed.  This will cause the cars to run backwards on the track which in turn will break the guide pin on the car.  If you have a track that is running from right to left instead of the normal left to right please email us at cservice(at)revell.com and we will be more than happy to send you a correct transformer.
