Balsa Sticks and Sheets

Made from “model grade” balsa.
Carefully dried in special kilns — producing a light wood with a high strength-to-weight ratio.
Cuts easily to any length or shape using a hobby knife — unfinished and may be stained or painted to represent any wood type.
Balsa sticks and sheets are 36 inches (914.4 mm) long.
Sticks sizes range from 1/16 x 1/4 inch (1.6 x 6.4 mm) to 1/2 x 1/2 inch (12.7 x 12.7 mm).
Sheets are available in 3 and 4 inch (76.2 to 101.6 mm) widths that range in thickness from 1/16 to 1/4 inches (1.6 to 6.4 mm).
Balsa Project Bags contain various shapes and sizes. Each bag contains 72 cubic inches (1180 cubic centimeters).

Plywood Sheets

Genuine plywood (no single layer veneer substitutes) ensures strength in thicknesses ranging from .4 mm to 12 mm.

Kiln-dried to prevent “case hardening” that causes warping during stick production.
